The unit forms part of the Statoil Åsgard complex in the North Sea, Norwegian sector. It produces serious quantities of gas and condensate. The Åsgard B facility has a capacity of producing 1,300 MMSCFPD of gas, and in addition, it is capable of handling 135,000 BPD condensate.
The hull was built in Korea, dry towed to Norway for mating with the deck structure that was built in Norway.
